Abstract: This research investigates the impact of life skills education on adult learners. The study aimed to explore how life skills education contributes to the personal and professional development of adult learners. The objectives were to assess the effectiveness of life skills programs in enhancing personal competencies, to evaluate their impact on career advancement, and to identify the specific life skills that are most beneficial for adult learners. A survey research design was utilized, as it allows for extensive data collection from adult learners engaged in life skills education programs, providing a comprehensive view of its impacts. A sample size of 280 adult learners participating in life skills education was selected to ensure a diverse range of perspectives. The purposive sampling technique was used to target individuals actively involved in these programs. The case study was conducted in Benue, Nigeria, where life skills education has been integrated into various adult learning initiatives. Findings revealed that life skills education significantly enhanced personal competencies, such as problem-solving and communication, and positively influenced career advancement. The study recommended expanding life skills education programs to include more practical applications and tailored content to meet the specific needs of adult learners.
